Party like a rock star

WHEN the sun goes down and the moon comes up, the city slickers like to put on their glad rags, accessories with their dancing shoes and hit the town for a night of razzle dazzle.

A ritzy weekend in the big city can begin – or end- with a shopping spree at some of the glittering high end boutiques and other speciality stores which occupy the cosmopolitan Melrose Arch piazza and square, and should certainly include a meal at one of the cool cafes, or at the trendy hotel itself.

In the Mother City, the party pampering is taken seriously, with a weekend offer especially for clubbers. Checking in on either a Friday or Saturday, they will be treated to a drinks voucher to get the party started, as well as the opportunity to meet with a top Hed Kandi DJ for pre-clubbing cocktails at the bar. 

Clutching two tickets to any one of five of Cape Town’s hottest clubs (Trinity, Fez, Voom Voom, 31, ZAR) they will be whisked off in their complimentary return shuttle to the club of their choice.

In the morning, they will be eternally grateful to the nice people at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! who will have placed two large bottles of mineral water and two Regmakers in their room. Breakfast can be served in bed, where guests can laze until 2pm.

The “party all night, sleep all day” deal is for one night only (Friday or Saturday), at R795 per person sharing. It’s valid until the end of April, 2012.
