 Set on the edge of the mystic Kalahari desert, the Protea Hotel Upington is surrounded by a town of beautifully landscaped gardens, lush green vineyards and the Orange River Valley.

Positioned in the heart of the CBD, this hotel is within walking distance of a selection of restaurants and is an ideal base for exploring popular sights such as Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and Augrabies Fall National Park.

The hotel has 61 rooms which all are fully air-conditioned with individually controlled units to ensure each GUEST has
control of their own optimum room temperature. Modern en suite bathrooms, satellite TV with 16 channels, tea/coffee-making facilities and mini-bar fridges are featured in all rooms. Superior double and family rooms overlook the Orange River, each with separate lounge area and a second bedroom in the family rooms.

Scotty's Restaurant is open daily from 07h00 to 10h00 for breakfast and Scotty's Lounge Bar is open from 14h00 onwards (Monday - Saturday).
